*deep breath*
YAY SYLAR!
I really missed watching him! Zachary Quinto is SO attractive (and watching him go from 24 to Heroes shows me he can act too.)
But alas, Candice is back? I don't really remember what happened to her in the finale. Didn't she die or something? I don't remember how Micah got away.
Which reminds me -
Micha and Nikki are back. But *sniffle* it appears that DL didn't make it. That sucks, I liked him. His "grandma" or whoever that was supposed to be looks like she's going to become a bigger part. Maybe she has abilities too and will teach Micah something? I wonder what's going to happen with Nikki. Will Jessica be no more? The line that Micha said to Nikki before she left, something like "whenever you say that, you do something bad", kind of caught me off guard (for lack of a better term) but he was absolutely right. Forshadowing maybe?
That new guy that is working with The Company is boring.
It seems that the more I see Mohinder, Parkman, and Molly together, the more it appears that Mohinder and Parkman are almost gay. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the show will go that way... but eventually I think they're gonna at least play it up as a cover for something in the show. *shrug*
I'm glad that Claire and West found out about each other. It seems kinda soon though. They could have had a lot more tension there than they did. Oh well.
HRG's picture at the end was a good twist. Those pictures always come true. HRG is gonna get shot. But - what if it's Sylar? As HRG? And West shot Sylar? I like when I'm wrong though, because then I'm suprised. I don't have a clue where they'd go with that though. I don't really want HRG to die. He kind of reminds me of my favorite teacher in high school. :D
Hiro's story is continuing to bore me to death. Kensei is annoying and it doesn't really seem to get anywhere each time we watch him. I do like Ando though. I haven't decided if I like the fact that he doesn't have an ability yet. I like that not all the characters have abilities, because, hello, we need normal people in the world too. But I want Ando to be a bigger part than he is. I realized something while I watched the show too. Hiro doesn't know his dad has died yet.
I'm really liking this Maya chick. She's pretty hardcore and her brother is awesome. I can't wait to see the episode that explains how they got where they are. Did they maybe kill their parents? I want them to meet up with Mohinder but I think their story is interesting enough that it doesn't need to be rushed. I wonder if they're close enough to California to run into Claire. I wonder if she could survive them. It would truly be power vs power. Hmm....
Now my favorite character (besides Sylar of course) - Peter Petrelli. I really want him to get away from those Irish people. I want him to get back to Claire. The "hookup" between him and that Irish chick was so forced and bad. She's like 20 years older than he is anyway. I hope he leaves them soon...
And oh man - if the previews really indicate what's going to happen the rest of the season, this season is going to be SO good!

Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity
"Since January 22, 1973 over 50,000,000 babies have had their voices silenced through surgical abortion in this nation alone.
Over 4,000 children have their lives taken each day in the name of choice.
Over 4,000 women are emotionally damaged every day.
On October 23, people from all over this nation will give up their voices for a day in solidarity for these children. Red arm bands and duct tape will identify them as taking part in the Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity. They will carry fliers explaining why they are silent and educate others about the plight of the innocent children we are losing every day.
Are you willing to give up your voice for a day for those who will never have a voice?"

Heroes: A play-by-play
Ok, every week I plan on posting my breakdown of each Heroes episode. That means THERE WILL BE SPOILERS IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE EPISODE WHEN IT IS ORIGINALLY SHOWN!
Episode 1 - Four Months Later:
So - the premiere. My first overall impression? I was kind of disappointed. There was too much Hiro and not enough Peter/Sylar. I know that was part of the show...the whole "what happened to peter?" and "is sylar really dead?" but, I felt like they were nearly cut out of the entire show until the end.
The story with Hiro and his "hero" was boring very quickly. I was confused and nothing seemed to tie together.
I like how much Matt Parkman there was. I really like his character and I think he is going to play a vital role, especially since he's taking care of that little girl now (what was her name?). I have one question though. Was he getting divorced before this summer? I thought he was patching things up with his wife.
The boy that Claire met at school was really cute. I was kind of disappointed that he can fly though. It's just like her dad. I hope she joins the cheerleading squad.
I really hope Nathan/Peter's mother doesnt actually die. I like her. She adds tension to the show, without being an outright "bad guy".
When I saw Peter, I first thought it was Sylar and I was super excited. Then, when I realized it was Peter (with a fabulous haircut), I was even more excited. I think, although his story seems cliche from next weeks previews, he will be an interesting addition to this season, since he doesnt remember anything.

Episode 2 - Lizards:
*sets head down on desk and sighs*
Why do I still have yet to see Sylar? They keep teasing me with previews and then, what do they deliver? NOTHING!
Was I the only one that was praying that Kensei was really dead? And then was crushed when he healed? C'mon. He's annoying.
I liked whats happening between Claire and the boy at school (name?). But then he saw her...tsk tsk. He's pretty cute though.
THE HATIAN IS BACK!! YAY!! When he showed up the last time at HRG's work, I got all giddy.
Which reminds me, we're definitly repeating abilities. Maybe there's gonna be a heroes war? Two sides - and they would each feature a flyer (Nathan and the boy at school), a healer (Claire and Kensei), and maybe an invisible guy (um, the guy that we met last season and whoever attacked Ms. Petrelli?) and then whoever else we meet along the way. Their leaders would naturally be Peter vs Sylar. But that's a stretch of a theory...
Ok, this whole thing with Maya and her brother is kinda confusing to me. I've heard rumors that (spoiler - highlight to view): she's a virus and he's the cure. But apparently it was supposed to be established in the premiere episode. Was that established and I just missed it? Either way, I really like her. The whole black tears is just soooo cool.
I wish, again, that there was more Matt Parkman. It was nice to finally see him, Molly, AND Mohinder together though.
So where are Nikki and Micha? And since I havent seen him in the previews, I'm afraid that DL might have died, which would suck, 'cause I liked him.

2007 VMAs - Too Much Hip-Hop, Not Enough Shia.
After waiting all day to watch the 2007 Video Music Awards on MTV, I naturally missed the first 15 minutes.
Of course this means I missed what many bloggers are calling Britney's "worst peformance ever". While a few rehab visits are something I would be more likely to shove under the Worst Performance category for her, the MTV video did leave something to be desired. Why she was signed to open the show is still beyond me, but hey - at least it wasn't Kanye West. My last Britney blurb - give the girl a break; she's had a tough year.
As far as the parties during the ceremony, I would sadly have to say that the only one that even came close to looking entertaining was hosted by none other than Fall Out Boy's lead, Pete Wentz. Don't get me wrong, The Foo Fighters put on quite the party, I just have the unfortunate stance of not actually knowing any of their songs. But anyway, back to FOB. Rihanna made a guest appearance later in the night, performing a harder version of her song "Shut Up and Drive". This particular rendition restored a bit of faith in hip-hop music for me, but wasn't enough for me to be able to stomach another of the overwhelming parties going on at the time; this one being hosted by none other than Mr. Kanye West himself. The many degradingly-dressed "strippers" bouncing around the suite was beyond disgust for me. Then again, I'm for the empowerment of women. These girls clearly were fine with showing off everything their mother gave them for the entertainment/attention of men who would would never give them the time of day any other way. But I digress...
My favorite performance was by Chris Brown. I didn't know the song but I eventually had small parts of it stuck in my head (wall 2 wall). I was amazed by his dance moves. The "surprise" performance by Rihanna (that girl just shows up everywhere) added to the song and just made it that much better. For just being out of high school, Brown has a long way to go. Here's to making it count.
I gave in and voted for New Artist of the Year. My vote - Lily Allen. I would have voted Gym Class Heroes if I didn't totally hate that song they sing about taking your clothes off. This may be the understatement of the year but MTV just has way too much sex-driven material. It gets old and I don't want to see it. They won the Band of the Year or something along those lines. I was semi-disappointed, I was really hoping for Maroon 5. Oh well, maybe next year.
So you've probably heard - the fight over Pamela Anderson. Well, it was never said that the fight was actually over her, but it was a fight none the less. During Alicia Keys' performance, Kid Rock and Tommy Lee had scuffle, leading both men to be escorted out. A few people, including Jamie Foxx, attempted to light the issue, making a joke about them fighting like black men. The incident was immature, to say the least.
My absolute favorite moment of the night? Shia LaBeouf, of course . Although I'm not a fan of the facial hair, he still looked amazing. He came on to introduce the award for Female Vocalist of the Year (well, I'm not actually sure that was the name of the award, but I wasn't really focusing on what he was saying - what do you expect?) and ended up leaking the much anticipated title of the newest Indiana Jones movie. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Sweet, no? I'm absolutely excited for the movie purely because of LaBeouf, but that's an entire other blog.
After a while, I was bored with the parties and the performances. So what do I get out of all this? MTV needs more hardcore music and less music that makes me feel like I have to be ethnic to enjoy it. But what else would I say? I am a hardcore junkie afterall. :)
